We spent Christmas Day with my family. We opened gifts and ate Mexican food...as you can tell, we decided to go non-traditional this year for food! It was delicious and a nice change of pace!

Christmas Morning
Katy and Keelie got just what they wanted from Santa! Katy got the dollhouse she wanted and Keelie got a noisy vacuum so now she can help Mommy! They were both really excited!
Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve was spent at our house with Rob's side of the family. We began with a Barbeque dinner and ended with opening our presents! A lot of great things were given and we had a great time!
Candlelight Service
This was before the Candlelight Service at Mimi and Papa's church. We had a lovely time! I sang a duet with Scott and then I sang Oh Holy Night at the end...just for Nanny!

ICE
Saturday morning we decided we wanted to take the girls to the Gaylord Texan to view the ICE exhibit there. Neither of us had been before and we thought it would be a really fun family outing! Well...after an hour and a half wait from Grapvine Mills Mall to the Gaylord...we finally made it into the Gaylord around 7. The 7:30 and 8:00 shows were sold out. Neither of the girls had eaten dinner yet, so they had a banana and a hot dog! Well, I slipped into the 8:00 show by accident. There was a REALLY long line of people standing outside the Ice area, and none of them seemed to know why they were in line. So I walked past everyone and told the attendant that I had tickets for the 8:30 show and she said you're the last one in! So, we got done a little early! It was soooo cold in the exhibit! Keelie's hands were freezing! I finally took off my big coat that they had provided and put it over her stroller. We were going to eat at a resturant inside the Gaylord, but the wait was over 2 hours! We ended up eating at Steak N Shake...Katy was already asleep, but Keelie girl would not give it up! She finally fell asleep about 10 minutes away from home! We had a LOT of fun on our first trip to the Gaylord...hopefully there will be another for Rob and me in March for our Wedding Anniversary!?!?

Christmas Performance
This was Katy's first performance as a student! She was very focused. She concentrated very hard on the directer and did exactly as she had practiced. It was so cute! She was very proud of herself. The cutest part was when she turned her head to the side. We were really glad that MiMi, Papa, Ma, Pa, Uncle Jason, and Rylee could be there for the big debut!!!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
Oh, how I LOVE Christmas time! It's my most favorite time of the year. I usually have my Christmas decorations up before Halloween, but was a bit busy this year and I was REALLY late (for me) in putting it up! Thanksgiving morning was spent decorating. It was a little hard for me, because I'm somewhat particular about how the ornaments are arranged on the tree, but I let Katy help. She did a really great job putting them on! It was a lot of fun for me to share that time with her. We watched the parade together and decorated at the same time. I'm thinking of making that a tradition for us on Thanksgiving morning...we'll see next year if I get the "Christmas Fever" before Halloween. :-) I hope you enjoy the decorations as much as I do!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!
We had a lot of fun at Lindsey and Mark's! Katy and Keelie had the best time riding in Brynn's Mustang. I think Katy's driving scared her...after a very brief ride, Brynn was through and refused to get back in with her! Keelie didn't seem to mind. Between bonking her head everytime Katy stepped on the accelerator, and messing with the radio, she was in heaven! She even tried to climb back into the car once they were finished! Katy thought it was really funny to pretend she was going to run over you.
Happy 'late' Halloween
We had a blast at our church carnival! We were so glad that Nate could join us! Katy was really in the Superhero mode. She said, "Mommy, if you get hurt, I can save you!" Keelie was the most precious fish!

Fall is here!
I worked in the flowerbed this morning. Who knew cleaning out the old mulch would be so much work!?!? I finally got it all cleaned up and I planted a few fallish flowers and put my pumpkins out! Rob's mom watched the girls while I worked. Katy would not leave me alone, though. She kept saying, "Mom, I just want to help plant. I like planting!"

Our Little Girl is becoming a Big Girl!!!
I can't believe Katy turned 4 today! It seems like yesterday we were praying for her conception! It's amazing how fast time goes by...way too fast for us!!! She is such a beautiful little girl, I'm sorry, BIG girl, as Katy so often reminds me. She is gaining new knowledge everyday of God's creation. She is so eager to learn his word, too. Innocent children have such a refreshing outlook on life and on what God has planned for them! Every night when she goes to bed, she doesn't let me leave the room until she has recited all of the bible verses she's learned thus far. I guess there will come a time when we'll stay up all night reciting God's word, and that's alright with me!!!
Katy's Birthday at the Aquarium
We started off the day by dropping Keelie off at Anie's on our way to preschool. We stopped by Kroger and got some Princess cupcakes for her class to celebrate her 4th Birthday. Becca and Nate picked Katy up at school and we met at Kobe Steak House (Yes, my little girl has big taste)! Then we had a fabulous time at the Dallas Aquarium. Becca got her a Webkinz for her birthday, so now she can be hooked like Rylee!!! She was really worn out by the time we got home.

Katy's First Day of Preschool
Monday was Katy's first day of preschool. She is going to the preschool at our church. She's growing up so fast. Her Daddy had to hold back the tears that morning.
Keelie's 1st Birthday Party
Keelie's birthday was on Sunday, August 17 and we had a bunch of the family over to celebrate. She got lots of toys that make lots of noise!
