Jordan Family: April 2010

So...I really haven't felt like blogging lately, but since Rob is helping with SYC right now, I have a little more time.

Katy and Keelie are growing like little weeds! Katy is now reading!!! YAY!!! What an incredible moment to be the one to hear her reading a book for the first time! Katy's assessment at school was amazing. The only thing she needs to work on is....Not trying to be the teacher. Just let the teacher teach (Surprise, Surprise)! We are so blessed to have such a smart and beautiful little girl! She is ready for Kinder!!!

Keelie is hitting so many milestones right now...She is potty trained! She also had her first test at school. She passed almost every part of her test with flying colors, including her basic colors and the ABC's. However, there were 3 parts that she failed . :( The first one she failed was, "What is your name?" You're probably thinking...How can she not know her name? Well, we call her "Kee Kee." So when they asked her what her name was, she of course said, "Kee Kee Jordan!" How cute is that! Secondly, she has a hard time remembering past events. She gets them all mixed up. I have actually been worrying about this whole answering questions about past events thing for a couple of months, so I really wasn't that surprised by the results. I asked our Speech Pathologist at school about it and she said I should really talk to ECI. Then I remembered that our neighbor works for ECI...PERFECT! So, I went over to her house and she wasn't worried. She said that Keelie was fine, especially since she is able to express herself so well! If she still has this problem by Kindergarten, then that's when we have a problem...I'll let ya know in 2 1/2 years!
